About the Learnership
The Old Mutual Amathuba Learnership combines classroom learning with practical workplace experience over a period of 12 months.
Learners will work towards a Wealth Management NQF Level 4 qualification, which is accredited and FSP recognized. The program can provide exposure to career paths such as underwriting, financial investment advisory and insurance brokerage.
Learners will also be allocated a mentor to provide guidance throughout the program.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be between 18 and 30 years old
- Be currently unemployed
- Not currently be studying toward another qualification at another educational institution
- Have Grade 12 or an NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification
- Have not previously participated in a Wealth Management NQF Level 4 learnership
- Be available to start on 1 October 2026
Applicants must have achieved at least:
- English: 50%
- Second official language: 50%
- Pure Mathematics: 50% or
- Mathematical Literacy: 50%
Learnership Experience
During the 12-month program, learners will:
- Receive workplace and classroom experience
- Work toward the Wealth Management NQF Level 4 qualification
- Receive guidance from an allocated mentor
- Complete a logbook throughout the learnership
- Gain exposure to various financial products
- Learn about relevant legislation and business ethics
- Participate in Corporate Social Investment projects
