What You Will Be Doing for Ericsson South Africa Telecommunication Network Operations Learnership
Successful learners will gain practical exposure in:
- Installing cables, antennas, microwave dishes, and communication equipment
- Erecting telecommunication tower components using ropes, pulleys, and cables
- Removing, repairing, and maintaining telecommunication equipment
- Working with fiber optic, coaxial, and DC power cables
- Conducting audits, upgrades, maintenance, and emergency repairs
- Following workplace health and safety regulations
- Assisting team leaders with operational duties
- Completing Ericsson’s required tower training programme
- Working outdoors and sometimes outside normal working hours, including weekends and shifts if required
