Apprenticeship Positions Available
The 10 apprenticeship opportunities are divided as follows:
- Mechanical Fitter – 4 positions
- Electrical – 2 positions
- Fitter & Turner – 4 positions
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science, with a minimum 50% pass mark
- NTC3 Engineering with relevant trade theory as a subject
- A certificate and results/transcript for NTC3 or higher
- A good engineering understanding at a basic level
- Basic computer literacy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive attitude and ability to use initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work overtime and shifts when required
Apprenticeship Training and Responsibilities
Successful apprentices will be expected to complete the required theoretical modules for their chosen trade while undergoing intensive workplace training.
Training and responsibilities will include supporting production processes, developing practical maintenance and installation abilities, gaining problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, following plant rules and safety requirements and working effectively in a team environment.
