FAIS Ombud was established in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (the FAIS Act). Its objective is to consider and dispose of complaints in a procedurally fair, informal, economical, and expeditious manner and by reference to what is equitable in all circumstances.

Job Description
In order to discharge its mandate, the FAIS Ombud seeks to appoint Graduate Trainees as part of the Graduate Training Programme. This is a structured programme specifically designed to produce a pipeline of competent trainee entrants to the labour market.
Roll out of the Programme: Recommended candidates will be given an opportunity to learn under a dedicated mentor. Graduates will be assigned to the Supply Chain Department and exposed to various competency-based training.

Requirements:
- Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- South African citizen with a valid South African Identity document.
- Passion for public service and an interest/desire to work in the Financial Sector.
- Strong academic background and high levels of integrity.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment, willing to learn and work extra hours.
- Energetic, self-driven and deadline driven.
- Must be computer literate.
Key Performance Areas:
Demand Planning: Forecasting and anticipating customer demand to ensure adequate inventory and production levels.
Supplier Selection: Choosing reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
Negotiation and Contract Management: Establishing favorable terms with suppliers.
Supplier Performance Monitoring: Tracking supplier performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

- Marketing and Communication Graduate Trainee
