Purpose of the Positions
The Sales Assistants will work as part of the store team to promote sales, serve customers, manage stock, reduce stock losses and operate the till.
Successful candidates will also help the stores maintain PEP’s low-cost operating culture and achieve their business targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
The appointed Sales Assistants will be responsible for:
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Supporting sales and maintaining store standards
- Presenting and managing stock
- Implementing promotions
- Ensuring products are correctly priced
- Following security, cash-handling and stock-control procedures
- Operating the cash register according to company policies
- Supporting cost-efficient store operations
- Maintaining health, safety and housekeeping standards
- Working as part of the PEP store team
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12
- Proficiency in English
- Computer literacy
- Willingness to work retail hours
PEP states that one to two years of retail experience will be an advantage. This means candidates without retail experience are not automatically excluded if they meet the compulsory requirements.
