This programme is implemented under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, and is aimed at providing workplace exposure, skills development, and income support to young graduates.

Requirements
A recognised Degree or Diploma in one of the following fields:
- Environmental Management / Environmental Science
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Financial Management
- Human Resources Management
- Public Administration or an equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, with a focus on local government
- Understanding of local government and its relationship with national and provincial spheres
- South African citizen with a valid South African ID
- Under the age of 35 years
- Medically fit
Selection Criteria
- 100% Youth
- 60% Women
- 2% Persons with Disabilities
- Previously disadvantaged individuals and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
