Duferco Steel Processing (Pty) Ltd, in collaboration with CHIETA, invites young unemployed South Africans to apply for its 2025 Engineering Apprenticeship Programme.
This structured three-year programme forms part of Duferco’s Youth Development efforts to build skilled talent in the steel industry.
Due Date: 03 July 2025
Placement: Saldanha, Western Cape, South Africa
Available Positions:
- Millwright x2
- Rigger x1
Successful applicants will work closely with Mechanical or Electrical Engineers and receive hands-on experience in a professional industrial environment.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Mathematics and Science compulsory) or an equivalent NQF-level qualification
- NTC or NCV credentials will be an added advantage
- Any prior experience in manufacturing or engineering settings is beneficial
- Strong mechanical aptitude and competent hand skills
- Must be willing to enter into a tri-partite agreement with Duferco, CHIETA, and yourself
