Overberg District Municipality is offering a 12- month internship for recent graduates in the field of Disaster Management. The position is grounded within the Community Services Directorate in Bredasdorp and aims to equip interns with practical experience in exigency response and disaster threat reduction.
Due Date: 22 August 2025
Placement: Bredasdorp, Western Cape
Pay-check: R 124,000 per annum (each- inclusive)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Reference Community Services – Emergency Services Division crucial liabilities The successful seeker will support the Disaster Management platoon by aiding with operations and logistics collecting reports related to disaster incidents Communicating with crucial stakeholders on cautions and exigency updates Participating in training and mindfulness conditioning Performing general office duties.
Who Should Apply?
Aspirants must meet the following minimal conditions:
A National Diploma or Degree in:
- Disaster Management, Public Administration, Office Administration, or a affiliated field
- A valid Code B motorist’s licence
- Computer knowledge, including experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and at least introductory Civilians knowledge( e.g., using Google Earth)
- Capability to communicate easily in at least two of the sanctioned languages of the Western Cape
- Must be physically fit and able of working outside in tough rainfall fresh Notes
- Strong verbal and spoken communication is essential
Preference will be given to campaigners from preliminarily underprivileged groups, including individualities with disabilities .
Only shortlisted campaigners will be communicated within 90 days after the operation deadline.
