Role Description
In this role, the incumbent will hold a temporary assignment as an apprentice, learning and applying technical skills to support the business through restorative and preventive maintenance. The apprentice will be expected to learn from their facilitators and mentor(s) and complete all reasonable tasks as requested by the business.
Minimum Requirements:
- Engineering Diploma &/or N3 (Mechanical & Electrical)
Key Responsibilities
- Be prepared to work in industry in both engineering and operations environment
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Full time attendance to all classroom and practical training
- Completion of technical tasks, mechanical and electrical
- Participation in on-the-floor equipment maintenance as prescribed by the program details
- Participation in technical problem solving
- Closure of tags as part of corrective maintenance activities
The candidate must also be:
- Team player
- Fluent in English
- Prepared to work at heights, noisy and dusty environment
- Able to work shift and extended hours (when required)

- Job Title: Instrument Control and Automation Apprentice

Minimum requirements:
- Matric with Maths & Science
- Diploma/N6 in Electrical light current /Instrumentation/Automation (Completed)
- 12 Months Internship
- Candidates need to provide their Academic Transcript with their CV’s

Key responsibilities:
- Basic computer literacy, i.e, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Develop Reports and Maintenance Documentation
- Review Electrical Drawings and update
- Carry out project work.
- Assist with R2S Projects
- Support breakdown repair. (During Week and Weekend)
- Support Restoration Activities (During Week and Weekend)
- Assist artisans and technicians
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP’s) and One Point Lessons (OPL’s)
- Carry out Calibration as per PPM
- Update Network Drawings
- Participate in delivering the continuous improvement program which involves internal audits, mock audits, project team involvement, involvement in WCM initiatives & the site SHE programmes
- Proof of qualification certificates and ID copy must be attached to your CV.
