Community-Based Social Media Developmental Programme

The eThekwini Municipality invites individuals who have completed an N6 and National Diploma qualification through a TVET college or University who are currently not in employment, education, and/or training (NEET) to express their interest in participating in the Community Based Social Media Developmental Programme for the duration of 18 or 24 months.

Eligibility Qualifications:

  • N6: Marketing Management
  • National Diploma: Marketing
  • N6: Public Relations
  • National Diploma: Public Relations
  • N6: Communications, Digital Media, or Social Media
  • National Diploma: Communications, Digital Media, or Social Media

Key requirements:

  • Applicants from TVET colleges must possess a Logbook issued by the institution and require workplace experience to complete the Nated qualification.
  • A formal letter from the institution confirming the need for 18 months of practical exposure is required.
  • Applicants must be South African citizens residing within the eThekwini area of jurisdiction (proof of residence required).
  • Only manual applications will be accepted (refer to application process)
  • Applicants must not be employed. studying or have participated in a similar programme previously

  • Individuals must complete the application form and attach relevant documents (National Diploma Certificate, N6 certificate, letter from Institution, CV, ID copy, proof of residence)
