Your Role:

As the Administrative Intern in the Learning team, you will provide essential coordination and administrative support that keeps the department running smoothly. You’ll be the backbone of operations, helping Siemens deliver high-quality learning experiences to its people, while gaining valuable insights into corporate training systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Task & Project Coordination:

  • Manage and execute assigned tasks with precision and professionalism, reflecting Siemens’ high standards.

Financial Administration:

  • Process purchase orders, requisitions, cost transfers, invoices, and payment verifications for training-related activities.

Learning Applications Management:

  • Verify and track applications for training, ensuring supporting documents and invoices align. Engage with employees to resolve discrepancies.

Support for Employees & Bursars:

  • Provide daily administrative support to Siemens staff and external bursars, ensuring timely and helpful responses.

Course & Catalogue Maintenance:

  • Liaise with training providers, update course offerings, and handle approvals to ensure learners are always engaged with up-to-date content.

External Bursary Coordination:

  • Communicate with institutions and manage payments for bursars’ living expenses, tuition, and accommodation.

SETA Engagement:

  • Support the team’s Skills Development Facilitators in ensuring compliance with Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) standards.

Recordkeeping & Filing:

  • Organize training documents and maintain a structured filing system to ensure easy access and compliance.

Database Administration:

  • Maintain accurate learning and development data across all platforms, ensuring integrity and alignment with Siemens policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.Com Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, Training, or Development
  • National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Skills Development, or Learning & Development
  • NQF Level 5 or higher in Training and Development (advantageous but not required)
