The learnership aims to provide newly qualified unemployed graduates an opportunity to gain workplace experience within various business functions; namely:

  • Client Coverage
  • Finance
  • Compliance
  • Market/Sales
  • Transaction Banking Cash
  • Client Management
  • Trade Operations
  • Cash Operations/Exchange Controls.

Overview: 

  • This qualification provides a foundation in banking and financial services acumen and gives practical guidance on how to apply your training in the workplace. Combining banking and Financial services theory with real-world solutions.  The National Certificate in Banking shows students how the industries work and how to use their newly acquired banking and financial services acumen to solve problems and improve their overall professionalism.

Outcomes:

Upon completion of the programme, the student will be able to:

  • Identify and solve problems in which responses display that responsible decisions using critical and creative thinking have been made;
  • Work effectively with others as a member of a team;
  • Organise and manage ones self and activities responsibly and effectively;
  • Collect, analyse, organise and critically evaluate performance;
  • Communicate effectively using mathematical and language skills;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the world as a set of related systems by recognizing that problem-solving contexts do not exist in isolation; and
  • Benefit from full personal development, thus contributing to the social and economic development of South African society at large. 
  • Complete NQF5 Certificate in Agile Banking theoretical learning.

Requirements:

  • South African citizenship.
  • Available to start immediately.
  • Minimum of a bachelors level degree or higher. 
  • No work experience required.  
  • The learnership supports a Certificate course in Banking qualification. Completion of this qualification is mandatory and must be complete during the Program.
  • Business level English communications skills.

Role/s will be Johannesburg based


The role comprises of a structured learning opportunity, academic learning and development initiatives over a period of 12 months.
