The Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) is a non-profit company (NPC) entity within the Gauteng Provincial Government under the leadership of the Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (DSACR), which is mandated with the development, promotion, and coordination of the film and television production industry in Gauteng. In addition, the Gauteng Film Commission is responsible for positioning the province as a world-class destination for filmmaking as well as attracting local and international investments in the film and television industry.
The Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) invites applications from dynamic and suitably qualified graduates for its Graduate Internship Programme. This programme provides an opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable experience in various sub-fields.

- Film Production or Cinema Studies, Majoring in Module(s): Arts Management and/or Applied Film and Television Studies.
Internship: Camera Operation
3 Year National Diploma or Degree in:
- Film Production, Majoring in Module(s): Studies in Story Structure, Lighting, Camera and/or editing.
Internship: Technical Work (Gaffer, Best Boy)
3 Year National Diploma or Degree in:
- Film/ Media Studies or BA Degree in Film Production, Majoring in Module(s): Camera operation and Lighting.
Internship: Virtual Work/Operations (Make-up, Wardrobe, Production set design)
3 Year National Diploma or Degree in:
- Film/Media Studies and/or BA Degree in Film Production
Selection Criteria:
- Matric (Grade 12)/Any equivalent qualification.
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) at minimum NQF Level 6 (NB. TVET graduates must have completed their Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and obtained their Diploma)
- Must be unemployed and available for the full internship duration.
- The applicant should be no more than 35 years of age.
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must not have participated in any previous Internship Programme.
