About the Eskom Learner Artisan Apprenticeship

Eskom is recruiting 4 Learner Artisans for Kriel Power Station in Mpumalanga.

Successful candidates will receive theory and practical training.

Applicants will go through Eskom’s recruitment process and if successful, will be placed in Eskom Operations across the divisions.


Minimum Qualification Requirements

Eskom requires the following from the applicants.

National N6 Certificate

Applicants may qualify with a National Certificate(N6) with Trade Subjects in:

  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Electronics
  • Measurement Control and Instrumentation
  • Fitter
  • Fitter and Turner
  • Boilermaker
  • Welder
  • Plumber
  • Carpenter
  • Rigger
  • Civil
  • Millwright
  • Bricklaying

National N4 or N5 Certificate

Applicants may also qualify with:

  • National N4 Certificate with Trade Subjects
  • National N5 Certificate with Trade Subjects

Grade 12

Applicants applying with Grade 12 must have:

  • Mathematics: 50%
  • Physical Science: 50%
  • English: 40%

Having Grade 12 alone does not meet the advertised requirements unless the applicant also has the required subjects and minimum marks.

N3 Certificate

Applicants with N3 require:

  • Mathematics: 50%
  • Science: 50%
  • English: 40%

NCV Level 4

Applicants with NCV Level 4 require:

  • Mathematics: 50%
  • Science: 50%
  • English: 40%
