SANC General Worker: Gardening and Landscaping Vacancy Key Responsibilities
The appointed candidate will be expected to:
- Monitor the health of plants and green spaces
- Water, feed, trim, and maintain plants, trees, and shrubs
- Fertilise and mow lawns
- Weed gardens and keep pathways free from litter and debris
- Perform seasonal landscaping duties, including pruning, planting, leaf removal, and clean-ups
- Prepare terrain for landscaping, including fertilising, seeding, and transplanting plants
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers and trimmers
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems (manual and automatic)
- Hand water and monitor irrigation systems where required
- Identify and manage weeds, pests, and plant diseases
- Clean outdoor areas using rakes, brooms, and hoses
- Provide messenger or driving services when necessary
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the supervisor or line manager
SANC General Worker: Gardening and Landscaping Vacancy Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in gardening and landscaping
Added Advantages
The following will serve as an advantage:
- A Certificate in Gardening, Landscaping, Horticulture, or a related field
- More than 2 years of relevant working experience
- Computer literacy
- A valid driver’s licence
