Job Purpose
- This program is designed to provide structured workplace exposure and skills development within a dynamic engineering and projects environment.
Job Description
- Work closely with experienced professionals, shadowing them to learn about their job duties, workflows, and best practices.
- Assist with project tasks and initiatives under the guidance of senior team members, contributing to the achievement of organizational goals
- Conduct research, analysis, and documentation to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Compile reports and make presentations to other staff members, keeping accurate records of training activities and achievements
The core strategic functions of PetroSA are to make it possible for the Government of the Republic of South Africa to:
- Improve the supply of fuel, oil and gas to the country
- Mitigate the impact of oil price variations and foreign currency fluctuations
- Drive transformation initiatives in the South African oil, gas, fuels and petrochemicals value chain
- Manage the contingency crude oil reserves and the strategic petroleum assets of the Government of the Republic of South Africa
- Access upstream petroleum assets for the benefit of the citizens of Republic of South Africa
- Competitively operate PetroSA in a sustainable commercial manner.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering (BSc / B Eng / B Tech)
- Control Systems (BSc / B Eng / B Tech)
- Electronics (BSc / B Eng / B Tech)
- Industrial Engineering (BSc / B Eng / B Tech)
- Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgy (N Diploma / B-Tech/ BSc)
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) (N Diploma / B-Tech)
Other Requirements:
- Must be a South Africa Citizen
- Recently qualified graduates or candidates requiring practical workplace exposure
- No employment experience required
- Must be Physically fit (Medical screening will be conducted)
- Be Unemployed
- Must never have been on a previous graduate internship program.
- Must NOT be currently studying or planning to study in 2026.
