The Competition Commission is on a search for high-achieving learners and graduates with no prior work experience to join our 2026 Internship Programme for a period of six (6) Months. This opportunity offers practical experience in competition law, economics, and other fields, while supporting your academic requirements.

On successful completion of the programme, Students will receive a certificate of attendance and recommendation letter prepared by their coach. Our target group

Mainly, students who are in their final year of study or have completed their qualification through a University and/or Universities of Technology. The programme is further applicable to students who require practical experience to successfully complete their qualifications as required by their curriculum.

Requirements

We are looking for dynamic, hardworking and committed individuals who meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a South African Citizen.
  • No prior working experience in the same field.
  • Must be in their final year of study or have completed their qualification, a Degree or National Certificate
  • Final year students are required to submit a letter of registration.
  • 70% and above academic average record will be an added advantage.
  • Evidence of proactive engagement in initiatives or service beyond academic coursework, demonstrating commitment to public interest and societal impact.
  • A great team player with excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, research and investigative abilities.
  • Evidence of notable achievements earned during your studies
  • Computer literacy
