About the program:
The main goal is to help people who have studied agriculture but don’t yet have any work experience. It’s a way for you to learn by doing, while earning a salary and gaining skills that employers love.
Who can apply:
- South African citizen
- Live in Thabo Mofutsanyana District
- Just finished a degree and are not working right now
- Have a National Diploma in Agriculture or Farming
- Graduated from a recognised agricultural college or TVET school
- This is the first time you’ll be in an AgriSETA placement
- Ready to work anywhere inside the district
- Will supply a SAPS affidavit that says you’re not funded by another source
Young persons, women, or someone with a disability, the municipality especially wants to see your application.
Documents you’ll need
- Cover letter – explain why you want the internship and what you can bring to the table
- Full CV – list your education, any volunteer work, skills, and hobbies
- SAPS affidavit – a form that says you’re not receiving financial help from another program
- Copy of ID – make sure it’s less than six months old
- Copy of your diploma – also no older than six months

Description: The Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality is a Category C municipality located in the eastern Free State Province, and borders on Lesotho and the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga.
The district makes up almost a third of the geographical area of the province. It comprises six local municipalities: Setsoto, Dihlabeng, Nketoana, Maluti-A-Phofung, Phumelela and Mantsopa. It is named after Edwin Thabo Mofutsanyana, a stalwart of the communist party.
Despite all the socio-economic challenges facing this district, the area has huge potential for tourism development because of its scenic beauty and its rich cultural heritage. The N3 and N5 National Roads pass through the district, and the famous Golden Gate is found in the area on the slopes of the Drakensberg Mountains.
