About the Matric Internship
The department is offering 30 internship openings to youth who completed their matric in the Western Cape. The programme is designed to hoist youthful people from pastoral communities by giving them meaningful plant exposure, professional experience, and chops development within the agrarian public sector.
Successful aspirants will be placed in one of the following quarter municipalities
- Cape Winelands District Municipality
- Central Karoo District Municipality
- Garden Route District Municipality
- Overberg District Municipality
- West Coast District Municipality
Pay-check: from R5 639.64 to R6 659.36 p/m
Fixed Term: 12 months
Launch Date: 1 April 2026

To qualify, aspirants must:
- Be South African citizens living in the Western Cape
- Have completed Grade 12 in the Western Cape
- Be between 18 and 24 times old
- Be applying for a government externship for the first time
- Current Grade 12 learners may apply, but acceptance depends on passing matric
- Come from targeted pastoral areas, as preference will be given
- Ladies and persons with disabilities are explosively encouraged to apply
Aspirants must submit:
- A completed Z83 operation Form
- A detailed CV
- A certified dupe of their ID
- pukka dupe of academic results
- A clear reference showing all sections being applied for
