The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Community Development Department has the following externship occasion available for a period NOT exceeding eighteen 18 months.

  • Internship Governance, Risk Management & Compliance

Placement: Temporary JD House 7th bottom, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein

Minimal Conditions

  • Grade 12 (NQF 4) plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF 6/7) in Public Management, Business Administration, or related field with a focus on Risk Management and/or Compliance (Qualification completed with minimum 360 credits).
  • Internship: Liaison & Public Relations

Placement: Temporary: JD House 7th Floor, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations (Qualification completed with minimum 360 credits).
  • Internship: Executive Directors Office

Branch: Executive Directors Office

Placement: 124 Van Beek Street, Johannesburg Stadium

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6/7) in Public Administration, Office Management, or Secretarial Studies (Qualification completed with minimum 360 credits):

NB: Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered.

Primary Function

  • To give executive and logical support to the Business Management Support Directorate in the areas of governance, threat operation, compliance monitoring, and performance reporting. The externship aims to expose the contestant to external governance processes, strengthen logical and collaboration capacities, and contribute to maintaining transparent and ethical service delivery in line with Batho Pele Principles.

  • Help the Directorate with collaboration of governance, threat and compliance attestation
  • Help with collation and verification of performance substantiation
  • Give general office and meeting support
  • Contribute to communication and mindfulness conditioning
  • Support inspection medication and information operation

  • Capability in Excel- grounded data shadowing or dashboard reporting
