The Market Theatre Foundation| Yes4Youth Programme: 2026 Internship Callout

Fixed Term: 12 months
Stipend: R5000.00 monthly
The Market Theatre Foundation in cooperation with Yes4Youth Programme would like to give 10 jobless youthful people the occasion to gain chops and work experience for a period of 12 months.
- No previous experience is needed.
- Aspirants shouldn’t be studying full time in 2026.
- Aspirants shouldn’t have shared or been registered on the YES programme before.
- NB: Background checks will be conducted for all successful campaigners.
- NB: Relocation will be at your own expenditure.
Aspirant conditions
- Unemployed youth, between 18 to 34 years.
- Not preliminarily shared in an Yes4Youth externship programme
- 12 months fixed term contract starting from January 2026 to December 2026
- Aspirants need to register on the Yes Youth website
- Detailed CV, pukka dupe of ID and Affidavit stating that the aspirant is presently jobless previous to commencing the programme
- Completed matric and hold at least a National Diploma( NQF Level 6) or a Degree from a recognised institution of advanced literacy in the Republic of South Africa
- Knowledge of or an interest in the creative trades would be an advantage but isn’t a demand.

- Sound Technician Intern( X1)

Conditions
- Degree/ National Diploma in sound technology/ engineering, performing trades.
- This position will suit a sound engineering graduate
- Programming cues with a mixing press for shows or events
- Operating analogue or digital mixing consoles for shows and events.
- Proficiency in MS Office Packages
- Lighting Intern( X1)

Conditions
- Degree/ National Diploma or above applicable qualification in Lighting technology
- Knowledge of lighting divisions and cues during specialized progeny in and performances and efficiently operating goods outfit as per SM cues
- Knowledge of light plots, cue wastes, and other specialized documents
- Specialized knowledge of lighting to achieve the determined cultural objects
- Proficiency in MS Office Packages
- Technical Assistant (x1)
