Invitation from Atlantis Foundries for South African youth to apply for the Engineering Apprenticeship Programme 2025

Placement: Western Cape, South Africa
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12, Matric, or N2 equivalent qualification
- Own reliable transportation
- Clear criminal record
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Ability to detect and diagnose technical faults (Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical)
- Relevant trade qualification or artisan background (Millwright, Fitter, Toolmaker, etc)
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute planned and reactive maintenance
- Perform machine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Inspect and repair production jigs, trolleys, and portable power tools
- Monitor weekly basic maintenance (e.g., equipment cleaning)
- Attend to after-hours equipment breakdowns (standby duty)
- Maintain building and vehicles (including forklifts)
- Capture breakdown reports
- Adhere to safety regulations and Lockout procedures
- GMR 2.1 Appointee responsibilities
