Duration: Contract (Not exceeding 2 years – part of a structured training program)
Remuneration: R100,000.00 per annum (All-inclusive)

Minimum Qualifications

  • recognized B Degree or National Diploma in:
    • Financial Management
    • Accounting
    • Economics
    • Finance
    • Auditing
  • At least one of the above as a subject
  • Age between 21 and 25 years
  • Preference will be given to residents of Emakhazeni

Interns will gain rotational exposure to various areas of Municipal Financial Management, including:

  • Assisting the Chief Financial Officer directly
  • Implementing GRAP (Generally Recognized Accounting Practice)
  • Supporting Treasury Budget Reform Program
  • Developing statistical reporting tools and electronic data systems
  • Involvement in:
    • Risk management
    • Performance Management Systems (PMS)
    • Auditing
  • Performing general financial duties as assigned
