Childline Mpumalanga invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for Social Work Internship Programme 2024 / 2025.

Internship Placement: Mpumalanga, South Africa

The organisation is seeking passionate and dedicated Social Work Graduate Interns to join their team in providing essential child protection services. This internship offers hands-on experience in child welfare, crisis intervention, gender-based violence (GBV), and supportive counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting survivors in assessing their needs and developing safety plans.
  • Providing emotional support during interviews and counseling sessions.
  • Helping clients access services such as legal aid and medical care.
  • Participating in community awareness programs on GBV.
  • Responding to calls and inquiries from children and young people.
  • Supporting case management activities.
  • Contributing to team discussions and developing outreach programs.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Degree in Social Work
  • Recent SACSSP council proof of payment
  • Strong communication skills and empathy
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards

    • 1 x Bushbuckridge
    • 1 x Nkomazi
    • 2 x Provincial Office
