Cybersecurity Program for Unemployed Youth

The Gauteng Department of e-Government, in partnership with Netcampus, is inviting unemployed youth to apply for a FREE Cybersecurity Skills Program. Participants will gain valuable skills in areas such as Ethical Hacking, Network Defence, Digital Forensics, and AI.

Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction, encompassing various technologies, processes, and controls.

What it protects:

• Devices: Smartphones, laptops, tablets, computers, and other connected devices.
• Networks: Local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the internet.
• Data: Personal information, business data, financial information, and other sensitive information.
• Systems: Operating systems, applications, and software.
• Services: Online banking, shopping, email, social media, and other online services. 

Who can Apply:

1. South African citizens
2. Aged 18-34 years
3. Residing in Gauteng
4. Grade 12
