Call for aspirants Learnership Development Programme
Invitation from uMngeni- uThukela Water for good campaigners to apply for a 36- month Learnership & Graduate Development Programme in the specified field.
We encourage operations from KwaZulu- Natal residers, including individualities living with disabilities, to gain precious practical work experience. These openings are grounded in Richards Bay.
Minimal Conditions
- An applicable Degree from Council of Higher Education (CHE) accredited tertiary institution: Bachelor of science Chemistry
- Aspirants must be South Africa citizen abiding in KwaZulu- Natal
- First preference will be given to aspirants who are endless hearthstone of the original cosmopolises within UUW functional Areas.
- The programme is rigorously targeting jobless youth ( under 35 years)
- Applicant who have shared in another externship/ Graduate Training Programme before won’t be considered in this programme.

uMngeni-uThukela Water is a state-owned entity (SOE) and a water board that was established in 1974 and effectively from the 1st of July 2023, operates under its current name after the incorporation of Mhlathuze Water into Umgeni Water. The entity provides water and related services to other water services institutions and other customers in its gazetted service area of the Province of KwaZulu-Natal. The entity operates in accordance with the Water Services Act (Act 108 of 1997) and the Public Finance Management Act (Act 1 of 1999), amongst others, and is categorised as a National Government Business Enterprise.
uMngeni-uThukela Water reports directly to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), through the Board (Accounting Authority) and through its functionaries, the Chairperson of the Board and the Chief Executive. The Minister of Water and Sanitation is the Executive Authority for Water Boards.
