Gert Sibande TVET College, in cooperation with the Mining Qualifications Authority ( MQA), is now accepting operations for the Occupational Certificate Bricklayer Apprenticeship Programme for 2025.
Whether you’re just finishing academy or looking to get hands- on experience in a high- demand trade, this programme offers a direct path into the world of construction.
Why Bricklaying?
Bricklaying is further than just laying bricks it’s about erecting homes, seminaries, hospitals, and entire communities. It’s one of the most reputed and in- demand trades in South Africa. Who to apply?
To be considered for the internship, you’ll need to meet one of the following minimal qualifications
- N2 with relevant subjects
- NCV Level 4 with relevant subjects
- BCC NQF Level 3 – Bricklaying
- Technical Grade 11 with relevant subjects

What You Need to Submit
To complete your operation, include the following pukka documents
- Your streamlined CV
- A certified dupe of your South African ID
- pukka clones of all applicable qualifications
- still, also include a certified dupe of your parent or guardian’s ID
- If you’re under 18. Make sure all clones are lately certified( within 3 months).
