Goldfields TVET College on behalf of SAPCO & SERVICES-SETA invites former Goldfields TVET college N6 graduates to apply for an 18 months internship placement opportunity designed for former students who have successfully completed their N6 Certificate at Goldfields TVET college.

Goldfields TVET College is located in the Free State Province, Lejweleputswa District and is situated in the Matjhabeng Local Municipality, Welkom. The College serves 5 local municipalities viz; Matjhabeng, Tokologo, Masilonyana, Nala and Tswelopele. Matjhabeng municipality is one of the main contributors of the provincial GGP and has a population of 406,461 people in 123,195 households.

The College, through the assistance of Department if Higher Education and Training, is in the process of opening a Satellite Campus in Virginia (Meloding) to communities in the eastern part of the municipality.
Geographically the Welkom and Tosa Campuses are within 12km of each other and within 7km to 12km from the Central Office respectively. The Tosa Campus is situated on the outskirts of Thabong while, as the name suggests, the Welkom Campus is situated in the city of Welkom. Reatlehile Satellite Campus is situated in Meloding on the outskirts of Virginia, 22km from Welkom city centre. The Central Office is situated in Welkom. Currently the College does not have residential and or hostel facilities catering for student accommodation.

Goldfields TVET College is one of the 50 public Colleges Technical and Vocational Education and Training administered in terms of the Continuing Education and Training Act, No 16 of 2006. The College provides technical and vocational education and training programmes to leaners who completed at least Grade 9 at school level and to Grade 12 learners who have not achieved university entry certificates but would like to further their education. In general, the College provides three main categories of qualifications and part-qualifications viz; National Certificate Vocational Level 2 – 4, Report 191 certificate commonly known as Nated (N1 – N6) in Engineering Studies and N4–N6 in Business Studies programmes, occupational qualifications mainly through learnerships and skills programmes. Occupational programmes are mainly offered at Tosa Campus and learning centres around the province, soon these programmes will be relocated to newly established Skills Development Centre.
NB: NCV and Report 191 programmes are Ministerial approved programmes and are funded by the state whilst occupational programmes are SETA funded.
