About the Learnership
The Boilermaker Learnership (18.2) is a nationally recognised trade learnership designed to train learners in boiler-making theory and practical application. Successful learners gain hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, structural steel work, and maintenance within a heavy industrial mining environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all the requirements listed below. Failure to meet even one requirement may result in automatic disqualification.
Educational Requirements
Grade 12 or NCV Level 4 and must also have passed the following N2 subjects:
- N2 Mathematics
- N2 Engineering Science
- N2 Plater Theory
- N2 Plater and Structural Steel Drawing
These subjects are compulsory. Applications from candidates who do not have all the listed subjects are unlikely to be considered.
Commitment to Training
- Applicants must be willing to commit fully to the duration of the learnership as outlined in the official learnership agreement. The programme requires discipline, consistency, and the ability to work in a physically demanding mining environment while adhering to strict safety standards.
