Job Description
RCL Foods is seeking x5 Millwright Apprentice on a 3 Times Fixed Term Contract to join our Spreads Division at Siqalo Foods. The part will be grounded in Boksburg and report to the Engineering Site Services Lead.
The main puropse of this part is to develop the specialized capability and practical chops needed to come a good Millwright. The part provides structured plant literacy, hands- on training, and theoretical knowledge to enable the apprentice to perform mechanical conservation, repairs, and installations safely and effectively. Under the guidance of educated Millwrights and instructors, the apprentice will gain exposure to mechanical systems, tools, and processes while contributing to the smooth handling of operations.
Minimal Conditions
- Grade 12 with Maths and Science
- N3- N6( with trade subjects)
- EE Preference( Ladies are encouraged to apply)
- Must be between 18- 35 times of age
Duties & liabilities
- Undertakes all non-specialized conservation within specific unit of responsibility within description
- Trainers and develops the engineering chops of other conservation and functional staff
- Makes recommendations for nonstop enhancement
- Involved in WCM conditioning. workshop within defined Engineering and SHE programs and norms
- Engineering judgments and interprets problems( fault finding) to optimize product affair and with own platoon carries out the factory repairs
- Ensures that service situations are maintained at the needed norms by carrying out all breakdown, precautionary and prophetic conservation effectively
- Drive breakdown reductions off assaying breakdowns, complying with the PPM demand and enforcing nonstop advancements
- Participates in strategic engineering plans to deliver conservation and breakdown reduction benefits( RCM)
- Identifies the major engineering losses in his area and investigates using Kaizen problem- working methodology.( Fishbone, 5 Why etc.)
- Ensures that Company safety rules and regulations are stuck and maintains Unilever safety and 5S norms
- Draws up, Trainers and develops engineering chops to other conservation and functional staff using OPL and SOP’s
