The University of Limpopo: Libraries Internship Programme

The University of Limpopo is pleased to advertise an  instigative  occasion for a Graduate externship within its Libraries department. This internship programme is designed to  give a dynamic and enriching experience for a suitably  good graduate, offering an  occasion to develop professional chops, gain practical work experience, and contribute to the  functional excellence of the university’s library services.

We’re seeking a motivated  existent with the essential attributes, chops, and qualifications to join our  platoon for a 24- month  externship programme.

Position: Graduate externship

Placement: University of Limpopo – Libraries 

Duration: 24 Months 

Stipend: R5 000 per month (Total- Cost- To- Company) 

Due Date: 18 August 2025 at 1600  

Note:

This occasion isn’t open to campaigners who have  preliminarily  shared in an  externship programme lasting  further than 12 months.

Internship Overview:

  • The programme aims to equip the intern with practical knowledge, enhance their professional  capabilities, and prepare them for future career  openings in library and information services or related fields. 

Conditions to be considered for this externship,  campaigners must meet the following criteria:  

Minimal Qualification:

  • NQF Level 6 Diploma in Library and Information Studies or a Finance- related qualification.
  • Campaigners must have successfully completed their parchment at an honored institution, with  pukka   clones of qualifications submitted as part of the  operation. 

Needed Chops and Attributes:

  • Time Management Capability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple  liabilities effectively in a fast- paced  terrain. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to support  executive and  functional tasks. 

Communication Chops:

  • Excellent verbal and spoken communication chops to engage with library  druggies, associates, and stakeholders professionally. 
  • Writing Chops Capability to draft clear,  terse, and professional documents, including reports, emails, and other correspondence. 
  • Attention to Detail A keen eye for  delicacy in handling library records,  fiscal data, or  executive tasks. 
  • Cooperation and Rigidity
  • A cooperative mind-set with the capability to  acclimatize to changing precedences and work effectively within a  platoon. 
  • Passion for Learning
  • A  visionary  station toward professional development and a  amenability to acquire new chops in a library or  fiscal administration setting.

Liabilities

  • The Graduate Intern will be involved in a range of tasks, which may include but aren’t limited to   aiding with the operation and association of library  coffers, including cataloguing, shelving, and  force  operation.
  • Supporting library druggies by addressing inquiries,  furnishing guidance on resource access, and promoting information  knowledge. 
  • Contributing to executive tasks,  similar as data entry, report generation, and  fiscal record- keeping within the library’s operations. 
  • Sharing in library events,  shops, or outreach programmes to enhance  stoner engagement and community involvement. 
  • Uniting with library staff to  insure effective workflows and high- quality service delivery.  Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the  administrator to support the library’s  objects. 
  • Operation Process  Interested  aspirants who meet all the below criteria are invited to submit their  operations as follows   operation Letter A cover letter  easily indicating that you’re applying for the Graduate externship – Libraries position. 
  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae( CV) A comprehensive CV outlining your academic background, chops, and any applicable experience. 
  • Certified clones lately certified  clones of your ID and qualifications( parchment  instrument and academic paraphrase). 

Note:

Operations submitted without certified clones won’t be considered.  Submission Telegraph your complete operation to: training.development@ul.ac.za  by no later than 18 August 2025 at 1600. 

Important Notes:

  • Operations entered after the due date and time won’t be considered. 
  • Only shortlisted campaigners will be  communicated  for  farther correspondence. 
  • Right to Withdraw The University of Limpopo reserves the right to withdraw or not fill the position for any reason.
  • Preference will be given to campaigners from designated groups in line with the university’s employment equity programs.
