About the Internship Opportunity
Are you passionate about media and fluent in Afrikaans? Join the SABC News and Current Affairs team as an intern where you’ll be producing and broadcasting Afrikaans Current Affairs content that is compelling, accurate, and relevant.
This internship provides hands-on experience in scripting, researching, interviewing, and broadcasting for Afrikaans news segments. You’ll also gain experience working in a dynamic team that upholds the highest standards of journalism.
Internship Duties Include:
- Producing Afrikaans news and current affairs content.
- Researching, scripting, recording and voicing news stories.
- Conducting interviews and Q&As in Afrikaans and English.
- Adhering to journalism and broadcasting codes of conduct.
- Collaborating with producers and content teams.
- Engaging with news networks and audiences.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Journalism, Media Studies, or relevant equivalent.
- Ability to write, read, translate and present in Afrikaans and English.
- Strong interest in news production and broadcasting.
