Job Description
- Conduct research on the development of protocols for micropropagation of tropical and subtropical crops using in vitro technologies.
- Performs aseptic culturing of plants at the laminar flow bench.
- Ability to work in a laboratory with knowledge on operation of basic equipment.
- Ability to work for extended time periods in a laboratory environment.
- Collects, captures and processes data.
- Regularly provide feedback on progress (verbal and/or written) to supervisor.
- Contributes towards the dissemination of outcomes through presentations and publications.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements in the laboratory.
Job Requirements
- BSc Honours in Biological/Life/Natural Sciences with experience of working in a research laboratory.
- Candidate to register for MSc.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new skills in the laboratory.
- Advanced Computer Literacy.
- Code EB driver’s licence will be an advantage.
