Purpose: Epworth School is offering prospective teachers the opportunity to join our internship programme in the Preparatory School during their studies, whilst gaining workplace experience.
Position: Internship (Foundation/Intermediate/Senior Phase)
Commencement Date: 1 January 2026
Duration: One-year fixed-term contract

The successful applicant will meet the following requirements:
- Be committed to their studies and demonstrate a genuine desire to become a teacher
- Provide proof of current studies/registration through a recognised tertiary institution for Foundation Phase or Intermediate/Senior Phase
- SACE registration
- Have a keen interest in education and children
- Show integrity, honesty and reliability
- Energetic and enthusiastic team player
- A professional and flexible approach, including the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Be prepared to uphold the ethos and values of the school
- Criminal clearance

- To be actively involved in supporting and assisting class teaching
- Make use of opportunities to be positively involved in activities that are beneficial to professional development and the school
- Daily assistance with preparation and set-up of activities
- General administration duties
- Practical implementation of studies
