Cani Rusks, in partnership with the FoodBev SETA, is offering a fully funded Millwright Apprenticeship Programme for 2025 – giving unemployed South African youth a chance to become qualified artisans.
Apprenticeship Details
- Duration: 3 to 4 years (depending on performance and progression)
This structured Millwright Apprenticeship blends theoretical learning with real-world experience in a food production environment. The programme prepares successful candidates for a Red Seal Trade Test as a qualified Millwright Artisan.
What You’ll Learn?
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical machinery
- Technical troubleshooting in a live production facility
- Comprehensive trade theory through accredited training providers
- Workplace-based learning under experienced mentors and engineers
Minimum Entry Requirements
- To apply, you must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be currently unemployed
- Have a Matric certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum pass required)
- Hold technical subjects or N2–N4 qualifications (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Be interested in both mechanical and electrical systems
- Commit to completing the full duration of the apprenticeship (3-4 years)
