The Opportunity
Finance and Administration Internship
This position works out of our Roodeport location in the Core diagnostics division. In this division our Core diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe.
As the finance intern you will be instrumental in supporting and assisting the finance department.
What you will learn:
– Assist in Debtors management, tracking outstanding payments and reconciling accounts.
– Support the Billings team with invoice generation, verification, and processing.
– Gain insight into Supply Chain finance, ensuring proper financial controls and cost efficiency.
– Work closely with the Germany team to create Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on payments.
– Monitor and ensure that invoices are processed and paid on time.
– Collaborate with the General Finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
– Engage in cross-functional finance projects within a global pharmaceutical setting.
* Admin:
Order Processing:
-Prepare order upload tool to include, Sold-to and ship-to details, PO number, List numbers of items and quantities
-Check prices are accurate using approved pricelists
-Send Customer Orders/Proformas and order upload to SA Order entry team for processing
-Request invoice from DLK ExOps
-Share invoice with Customer for approval to Ship
-Once approval is obtained from Customer, share the approval details with DLK Team to have the order shipped. DLK Team will share with DSV to obtain flight details
Backorder report
-Action backorder report as received from Customer Services (CS) Team weekly.
-Check Customer’s own backorder reports against internal report.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (BCom) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Admin, Marketing, Logistics
Preferred Qualifications
• Basic Computer Skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• NO experience is preferred- i.e the organization is seeking to hire newly graduated candidates.
• Must live in Johannesburg.
• Excellent time management skills, be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skill.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Energetic, highly motivated.

The Opportunity
Business Coordinator Internship
This position works from our offices in Woodmead for the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division , who are responsible for live saving diagnostic tests across Africa, focusing on diseases such as HIV, TB and other infectious diseases.
The Business Coordinator intern will o oversee and support the sales/ commercial team with quotes, order fulfillment and order conversion. Weekly maintain the Buisness Pipeline tracker to assist track each order conversion and fulfilment to delivery. Proactively identify any blocks or delays in sales
Qualifications and Experience :
• Must have a tertiary qualification in Marketing/General Administration equivalent
• Must have Intermediate Excel Skills
• Ideal candidate would have little to no work experience, as this is an internship.
