Are you a physically fit and reliable individual looking for a challenging opportunity in the construction industry? Eskom is seeking a dedicated Utilityman to join our team at Site X9 in the Northern Cape.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualification(s):
- Grade 12
Experience:
- Experience in the relative discipline of appointment
- 1-2 years’ experience with technical field
Skills and Competencies:
- Must have the necessary physical stamina to execute the duties of a semi-skilled role.
- Must be able to work with the various power and hand tools required to execute the duties of a semi-skilled role.
- Good knowledge of cabling construction practices to perform duties safely and avoid injury.
- Physical and mental ability to work at heights.
- Time Management
- Able to work overtime when required
- Compiling a HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment)
- Conflict Resolution
- Interpersonal and Communication skills
Knowledge:
- Aware of work procedures for the relative discipline
- Basic understanding of Safety Rules and Regulations
- Ability to identify and utilize Tools and Equipment
- Practical skill (Technical)
- Knowledge of OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act)
