Human Resources Internship x10: Astral Operations Ltd.

Astral Operations Limited Group have opportunities for 10 HR Interns across their business units in Gauteng, KZN and the Western Cape.
The role of the HR Intern is to obtain practical exposure in providing efficient administrative support and service to the business, in accordance with related policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of a 3-year National Diploma in Human Resources Management
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans, an additional language will be an advantage
Additional requirements:
- The incumbent must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a highly motivated, proactive, forward-thinker with strong organizational and leadership skills
- Able to multi-task and work effectively in a team as well as on his/her own
- Strict attention to detail required at all times
- Must be deadline driven and able to work in a highly pressurized environment
- The incumbent will be required to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Driver’s license with own transport is essentialÂ

Recruitment, selection and employment contracting
- Scheduling of interviews with short-listed applicants
- Applicant vetting according to company policy
- Scheduling of medicals
- Collation of applicant documentation and information
​HR Administration
- Scanning of employee documentation for online digital filing
- Assist in the collation of documentation for payroll
- Capturing of information on the payroll system on a monthly basis
- Ensuring all relevant databases are updated
- Generating reports as required
Operational/ functional training and development
- Coordination of meetings, venues and equipment
- Coordination of training authorization with line management and approvers
- Maintain training documentation and training records
- Assist in preparing for disciplinary procedures and CCMA preparation
