Job Description:
The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) is seeking 42 motivated and detail-oriented Research Data Collectors for a short-term project. This is an excellent opportunity for unemployed graduates residing in KwaZulu-Natal to gain hands-on research experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with door-to-door data collection in line with applicable procedures.
- Collect data using surveys, personal and telephonic interviews.
- Capture data in a MKRI prescribed format.
- Maintain data quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards relevant to the process.
Requirements:
- Must be an unemployed KZN graduate between the ages of 18 – 35 years.
- Must have a valid tertiary qualification (NQF level 6 to 8). An NQF level 8 qualification will be an added advantage.
- Computer literacy.
- Own mobile device (working smartphone) with the ability to operate it.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in English and IsiZulu.
- Code 08/10 driver’s license that is older than three (3) years and ability to drive independently.
Terms of Appointment:
- Fixed-term contract limited to the duration of the project (estimated at 2 to 5 days fieldwork).
- Remuneration: R350 per day.
- No accommodation will be provided, so appointments will be limited to KZN residents belonging to Municipalities where data will be collected.
