About the Learnership Programme
The Umfolozi Sugar Mill (USM) is located 30 km from St Lucia and 48 km from Richards Bay. This programme is designed for students who require in-service training (P1 & P2) as well as graduates needing experiential training.

- Chemical Intern – S4 in Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Intern – S4 in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
- Analytical Chemistry Intern – S4 in Analytical Chemistry Engineering
- Finance Intern – N6 or equivalent in Financial/Account Management
Graduate Positions (Experiential Training)
- Chemical Graduate – B-Tech/BSc Degree in Chemical Engineering
