Programme Overview:

Thos Begbie & Co (Pty) Ltd, a company with over 136 years of experience serving the mining industry in South Africa, invites unemployed youth to apply for an apprentice training programme in the following field:

  • Moulders x2

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and assembling moulds.
  • Working with different materials, such as sand, resin, or metals.
  • Operating machinery and tools safely.
  • Ensuring high-quality production standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum N2 Certificate with:
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Engineering Drawing
    • N2 Moulders Theory or N3 Mechanotechnology or N4 Mechatronics

Additional Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Good ethical behavior and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to observe safety standards and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • No prior experience required—just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude!
