Mogalakwena Municipality invites unemployed graduates to apply for Social Media Administrator Internship Programme 2024 / 2025.

Externship Application Ending Date: 04 November 2024

Externship Placement: Mokopane, Limpopo, South Africa

Salary Scale: R 74 099,52 per annum

This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in managing social media platforms, developing engaging content, and enhancing communication strategies within the community. Duties: Reporting directly to the Divisional Head of Communications, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

– Coordinate social media communications and channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.

– Work as part of a team to develop social media campaigns.

– Propose new ideas and concepts for social media platforms.

– Monitor social media channels to respond appropriately to posts/comments and identify issues that require escalation.

– Analyze and report on audience information, demographics, and the success of existing social media projects.

– Monitor feedback and comments on social media platforms in collaboration with the customer support unit to respond to inquiries.

– Support the Mayor’s events and municipal events by providing social media services.

Requirements:

– Matric plus a Diploma/National Certificate or equivalent in Public Relations.

– Knowledge of managing social media platforms or brands. Photography, videography, editing, and design experience will be an advantage.

– Ability to interview different stakeholders and produce write-ups on various human settlements and sector issues.

– Ability to function well under pressure and meet prescribed deadlines.

– A valid South African driver’s license is required.

– Candidates must possess strong writing skills and be highly proficient in the English language.
