The WILDTRUST invites applications for 60 Garden Assistant positions, which will be based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This opportunity is a fantastic way to develop hands-on experience in gardening, landscaping, and agricultural work.

- Number of Positions Available: 60 Garden Assistants
- Location: Pietermaritzburg (KZN) – Applicants must have their own transport
- Salary: R4,991.03 per month
- Contract Duration: 12 months

Job Requirements
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old.
- Current Employment Status: Only unemployed youth are eligible.
- Minimum Education: Grade 12 is required. Any prior volunteer or work experience will be an added advantage.

- A valid SARS Income Tax Number
- A valid email address for communication purposes
Key Responsibilities for Garden Assistants
As a Garden Assistant, your duties will include:
- Propagating seedlings for planting.
- Planting and irrigating vegetables.
- Packaging vegetables for distribution or sale.
- Preparing garden beds and ensuring they are maintained to the highest standard.
- General upkeep of garden spaces.
This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, which could lead to career opportunities in agriculture, environmental management, or garden maintenance.
