Position: Diesel Electrical Fitter Apprentices
Placement: Rosslyn, Pretoria.
Fixed Term: 3 years
Minimum essential qualifications:
- Matric with Mathematics, Science and English
- N2 related trade subjects
- Preferably be between 18 to 25 years of age
Relevant Tertiary Qualification in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Technical Engineering
- Diesel Fitting
- Electric Fitting
Previous experience within the rail/transport industries (advantageous)

Basic requirements:
- Basic MS Office, MS Excel and MS Word
- Knowledge of various parts and systems
- Must have a solid work history and contactable references
- Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)

- Must be reliable, accurate and punctual
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail

We firmly believe in the power of human capital and we continue to invest in the development of rail industry skill sets for the next generation. Our TETA – accredited diesel electric fitter trade training centre in Gauteng puts apprentice artisans through an intensive 3-year course that culminates in a red seal trade test certificate. In keeping with our commitment to quality, our trade test officers are fully accredited by the National Moderating Body. Our training centre also runs train driver, locomotive operator, train driver assistant, shunter and shedman training as well as refresher courses.
