Invitation from South African National Parks (SANParks), in cooperation with CATHSSETA,to South African jobless youth to apply for the Field Guiding Skills Programme 2026 Intake.

- 6 months training
- 12 months plant placement
Pay-check:
- R2 695 (first 6 months – training phase)
- R3 500 (remaining 12 months – placement phase)
This programme offers a structured pathway into the eco-tourism and conservation sector, combining accredited training with hands- on exposure at Bontebok National Park.

What you will learn during the programme:
Crucial literacy Areas Include:
- Preface to address guiding principles
- Wildlife identification( foliage and fauna)
- Conservation ethics and environmental mindfulness
- Caller commerce and guiding ways
- Safety procedures in defended areas
- Professional conduct within public premises
NB: SANParks will cover training-affiliated trip and accommodation costs when learners attend training down from their home area.
Who can apply?
To be considered, aspirants must meet ALL the following conditions
- Be a South African citizen
- Be under 35 times of age
- Have Grade 12( Matric)
- Be jobless
- Live within 40 – 100 km of Bontebok National Park
- Have a clear felonious record
- Be physically fit
- Mustn’t have preliminarily served from SANParks chops programmes, learnerships, or externships
This programme prioritises first- time heirs to insure fair access to openings.

- Streamlined CV
- Certified dupe of Grade 12 instrument
- Pukka dupe of South African ID
- Academic reiterations( if applicable)
- Evidence of residence
