Job Description

Dis- Chem Pharmacies’ Ferngate store has an occasion available for a Dispensary Support to join the platoon. Job Specification

Dispensary Support staff must have completed a proficiency test approving them to apply for enrollment with Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a learner introductory adjunct. A druggist’s adjunct registered in the order druggist’s adjunct learner introductory; may perform the following services or acts under the direct particular supervision of a druggist in a drugstore:

  • The trade of Schedule 1 drugs or listed substances.
  • Help with the compounding, manipulation or medication of anon-sterile drug or listed substance according to a formula and Standard Operating Procedures approved by the responsible druggist.
  • Help with the discharging and selling of stock and cleaning of apothecary and OTC shelves approved by the responsible druggist.
  • Any other duties assigned to them by the Dispensary Manager.
  • Learn to directly interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner and within the legal conditions in agreement with the South African Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Insure accurate selecting/ quilting/ labelling and checking of drug and be apprehensive of common tablets as well as important medicine relations.
  • Insure that all specifics, are checked for delicacy by a druggist and inked by a druggist.
  • Help in the control of stock (manage cleanliness and packing organisation of shelves and drug expiry dates) of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 drugs or listed substances.
  • Follow up with cases regarding script tracking report as requested by the dispensary director and follow up movables .
  • Help with call centre scripts and patient service telephone calls.
  • Give information to individualities in order to promote health.
  • Help with scheme authorization of habitual, HIV and AIDS and oncology drug.
  • Report on low-/ eschewal of stock situations and stock crimes to the dispensary director.
  • Admit dispensary stock in agreement with the bribe set out by the company.

Capabilities

  • English and 2nd language – Read, write and speak.
  • Time operation, deadline driven, dealing with pressure, attention to detail.
  • Good communication chops, harkening, client service focus, problem working, platoon player, conflict operation, leading by illustration, responsibility, professional conduct, secure and honest.
  • Computer, numerical chops.
