The PowerX ² action aims to connect 20 000 youths to real plant openings across the public sector, private sector, NGOs, cosmopolises and government departments.
What’s the PowerX ² 20 000 Internships Programme?
This public placement programme aims to break one of South Africa’s biggest challenges youths who are good, but warrant work experience.
The action supports
- NSDP 2030( public Chops Development Plan)
- National Chops Development Strategy
- Services SETA accreditation to expand access to plant literacy
All fields of study are eligible — from:
- IT, HR, Business Management, Marketing and Finance, to Law, Engineering, Admin, and more.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, you must:
- Hold an NQF position 4 – 7 qualification from a public university or public TVET council
- Be jobless at the time of applying
- Be available for a 24- month externship
- Be willing to be placed anywhere in South Africa
- Submit the Graduate Expression of Interest( EOI) online
You may apply whether or not you were funded by the Services SETA preliminarily.
After completing the online EOI, you’ll admit a secure upload link for the following:
- Pukka dupe of ID
- Certified dupe of qualification or statement of results
- Streamlined CV
- Proof of hearthstone
- Bank evidence letter
Host Employers – Who Can Apply?
Organisations eligible to host interns include
- Private companies
- Public realities
- Government departments
- cosmopolises
- Non-profit organisations
- TVET sodalities & universities( as host spots)
Employer Conditions
- Be registered with COIDA
- Have OHS- biddable workplaces
- Commit to hosting interns for 24 months
- Submit employer EOI & plant details
- Pass the Plant blessing Process
- share in covering & reporting

- CSD summary
- COIDA/ Letter of Good Standing
- OHS compliance substantiation
- Physical address of all plant spots
- List of plant spots
- ID of authorised company representative

Step 6 Await farther Communication
The Programme Management Unit (PMU) will communicate named aspirants.
