Details

eThekwini Municipality is offering training openings to individualities with a genuine interest in pursuing a career to qualify as an artisan in any of the linked trades.

Operations are invited from suitably good aspirants to share in the eThekwini Municipal Artisan Development Programme in various trades for a period of the trade programme, which would be no longer than three years.

Aspirants will be needed to suffer various assessments, similar as but not limited to verbal/ spoken/ medical as part of the reclamation process for consideration.

Campaigners will be needed to complete an internship programme as per the specified and regulated criteria of the applicable Seta/ QCTO and the National Artisan Moderating Body. The programme will involve practical training on- point as well as attendance at a training institution to gain the proposition element. At the end of the training programme, the apprentice will suffer a formal trade test to qualify as an Artisan in the applicable trade.

Eligibility Conditions

  • minimal N2 instrument including the applicable trade proposition subject; or ii) Technical/ Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/ Engineering wisdom and affiliated trade proposition subject; or iii) Applicable( directly related to the trade proposition subjects) N6 instrument or public Specialized parchment( S or N sluice) iv) Be eThekwini residers ( evidence of hearthstone needed) v) Be a South African citizen with valid identity document( ID) vi) aspirants must be jobless; vii) Must have passion and interest on the fields applied for; viii) aspirants must be between the age of 18-35 times; ix) aspirants shouldn’t have shared in an analogous internship programme before; aspirants will be needed to suffer colourful pre-assessments as part of the reclamation process for consideration.
