Alfred Duma Local Municipality: Youth Mass Skilling Programme| Internship

Invitation from The Alfred Duma Local Municipality for unemployed young graduates who have obtained a tertiary or higher learning qualification to participate in the Youth Mass Skilling Programme. The aim of the programme is to expose graduates to the working environment of different departments within the municipality for a period of one (I) year in anticipation of gaining work experience to equip them to apply for advertised vacant positions. It will be required of graduates to physically work at the department where he/she is placed during office hours from Monday to Friday for the full duration of the period.

Minimal Conditions:

  • Must be within the jurisdiction of the Alfred Duma Local Municipality.
  • Must be unemployed youth within the age of 18 to 35 years old
  • Must have an accredited qualification.
  • A young person with disability will have an advantage

Additional Conditions

  • Graduates will be paid an allowance of R100.00 per day and will not qualify for any other service benefits
  • Graduates will be required to enter into an agreement with Council to formalise participation in the program.

NB. Applicants that have not been contacted within thirty (30) days after due date must accept that their application was unsuccessful.
