The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers( FAIS Ombud) is established in terms of the Financial Advisory and Central Services Act, 37 of 2002( the FAIS Act). It’s ideal is to consider and dispose of complaints in a procedurally fair, informal, provident and ready manner and by reference to what’s indifferent in all circumstances.

Job Description

In order to discharge its accreditation, the FAIS Ombud seeks to appoint Graduate Trainees as part of the Graduate Recruitment Programme. This is a structured programme specifically designed to produce a channel of competent trainee entrants to the labour request.

Duration: 12 months.

Roll- eschewal of the Programme Recommended campaigners will be given an occasion to learn under a devoted tutor. Graduates will be assigned to the Finance Department and exposed to colorful faculty- grounded training.

Crucial Performance Areas

  • Financial Administration Capture and reuse journals, cashbooks, checks, petty cash, maintain the fixed asset register, and insure proper form of fiscal records. Rapprochements help with rapprochements of balance distance accounts, creditors, study advances, and age analysis.
  • Payment Run Support daily supplier payment runs and insure timely processing.
  • Inspection Support help with the medication of inspection lines, schedules, and inspection documents for internal and external adjudicators.
  • Stakeholder Support give fiscal perceptivity and backing to internal departments.

Conditions for the operation

  • South African citizen with a valid South African Identity document.
  • National Diploma or Degree in Accounting( NQF 6/ NQF 7)
  • Passion for public service and an interest/ desire to work in the Financial Sector.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Must be suitable to work in a stressful terrain, willing to learn and work redundant hours.
  • Energetic, tone- driven, and deadline- driven.
  • Must be computer knowledgeable.
